On the afternoon of September 28th, the Department of Education and Training, in collaboration with Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the Provincial Museum of History, organized a heritage visit and experience at the Imperial Citadel for students who received the title of “Honored student of the school" for the 2023 - 2024 academic year.

More than 60 students visited architectural structures within the Imperial Citadel, participated in traditional court games, and enjoyed performances of Vietnamese court music and court dances at Duyet Thi Duong Theater.

Through these experiences, students had the opportunity to explore and learn about the heritage and history of the royal court, gaining more knowledge about the Complex of Hue Monuments, the history of the Nguyen emperors, and Hue's cultural heritage.

This activity is part of the “Hue Cultural Heritage Education” cooperative program in schools across the province, jointly implemented by the Department of Education and Training and Hue Monuments Conservation Center over the past five years.

The program aims to enhance students' awareness of the role, status, and value of Hue's cultural heritage, to instill a sense of responsibility for the preservation and promotion of the Complex of Hue Monuments, and to contribute to the development of qualities, abilities, and a love for their homeland and pride in the traditions of the Vietnamese people in general and of Thua Thien Hue in particular. This, in turn, raises awareness about preserving and promoting Hue’s cultural heritage among students.
