The workshop is a practical action contributing to implementing Decision No. 1658/QD-TTg dated October 1, 2021 of the Prime Minister regarding to national strategy for green growth in 2021-2030 period, vision to 2050. It is expected to promote current tourism linkage and cooperation and tourism potentials; diversify tourism products; promote linkage between travel agents located in three localities for safe and environmentally friendly products; attract domestic and foreign visitors.
At the workshop, the representatives of the tourism industries of the three central localities presented cooperation contents to promote connection and build green tourism products. The focus will be on boosting cooperation in State management of tourism; supporting the development of green tourism products; cooperation on tourism promotion.
On the basis of developing sustainable green tourism, the three localities will consider, research and suggest Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism recommend measures for sustainable green tourism associated with agriculture, forestry and community tourism to effectively exploit local tourism potentials.

At the workshop
The three localities will accelerate cooperation in consulting and sharing techniques and experience in building models of green and sustainable tourism products and services; and guide farmers in skills to participate in community and ecological tourism activities. On this basis, localities exchange experience in environmental protection tourism; raise public awareness of preserving the natural environment and tourism environment in tourism business activities.
Within the workshop, the Tourism Association of Quang Nam province, Thua Thien Hue province and Danang city signed agreement on developing chains of green tourism products.
On March 24, 2023, delegates, tourism associations, businesses and institutions carried out a survey to learn about potential tourist sites with a view to develop green sustainable tourism in Duy Xuyen district and Nong Son district. Besides, exchange programs were held, bringing delegates opportunities to share lessons learned and cooperate in the coming time.
