Thai Hoa palace, a symbol of Nguyen dynasty, a part of Hue Monuments Complex, was officially recognized as a LOTUS green building by VGBC. This is the first world cultural heritage in Vietnam to meet green standards, which leads to new direction in sustainable heritage conservation.
The palace was renovated from November 2021 to November 2024. This process not only preserved original values, but also integrated green criteria such as traditional material, energy-saving technology, low emission and environmental friendliness.
According to Mr. Douglas Lee Snyders, the Executive Director of VGBC, LOTUS is more than a recognition. It is a confirmation that if heritage is conserved and developed properly, it is not only the past, but also future. The VGBC representative highly appreciated the pioneer and strong commitment.

In addition, GCOO was recognized as LOTUS Green Service Provider – a leading model for providing sustainable transport services for tourists. GCOO, a brand of Gbike group (South Korea), is one of the leading models in providing tourists visiting Hue heritage with electric vehicles.
On this occasion, GCOO presented 20 electric bikes to Hue Monuments Conservation Center. These vehicles are expected to bring visitors peaceful, friendly and flexible services.
Mr. JongSoo Yoon, the CEO of Gbike believed that this partnership is not only collaboration, but also a long-term commitment made by Gbike to support Hue during its journey to become a green, sustainable and environmentally friendly city.

By presenting GCOO electric bikes, Gbike showed its support to environmentally friendly transport system. Hue city aims to become a friendly city, bring locals and visitors green, safe and convenient means of transport. This initiative is suitable with the sustainable development strategy currently adopted by Hue city.

At the end of the event, 100 delegates including the Consul General of South Korea in Danang city, leaders of Hue city, departments, agencies, associations, businesses and schools joined in a bike parade across Hue Citadel and streets.
