On the afternoon of August 1st, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) held a conference to review and approve the results of the provincial science and technology project "Establishing, managing, and developing a certification mark (CM) for “Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge village market” of Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town, led by the Office of Culture and Information of Huong Thuy Town.

Aiming to utilize the potential and enhance the value of the Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge villagemarket as a tourism destination, the project clarified the historical and cultural values of the Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge. It assessed the current status of service utilization at the “Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge village market”. The “Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge village market” certification mark was registered for protection, use, management, and effective exploitation in practice. The project also established the system, tools, means, and conditions for managing, exploiting, and developing certification mark products and services, and implemented practical operations.

The project's results confirmed the effectiveness of using intellectual property tools to enhance the value and competitiveness of products and services at one of the locality's well-known tourist destinations. The project helped the town build an information website to promote the “Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge village market” certification mark, complete with information, content, and images about the tourism destination.

Within the project's framework, the lead unit, in collaboration with coordinating units, implemented consulting and support activities for product and service providers in the Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge village market area, and for state management objects in the locality to raise awareness about intellectual property, certification mark, and regulations on managing and using certification mark, thereby promoting effective certification mark management and exploitation.
