Hue Imperial City is one of the ancient monuments of Hue that preserve the cultural, historical, and architectural characteristics of the Nguyen Dynasty and was designated as a world cultural treasure by UNESCO in 1993. Hue Imperial City is where the activities of the Nguyen Kings and our country's last feudal court take place and the largest construction project in Vietnam's history. Hue Imperial City has been under development for many years, involving thousands of people and a variety of tasks such as river filling, trench digging, and wall construction, in addition to a massive volume of rock and soil weighing millions of cubic meters.
