"Imperial Capital Archeology Chronicles" – A Fusion of the "Blind Box" Trend and Digital Identification Technology for Nguyễn Dynasty Artifacts

This event marks a significant step forward in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Huế in particular and Vietnam in general. It is a pioneering project combining technology and heritage, introducing a new model for leveraging heritage copyright to develop the cultural industry, drawing the attention of young people and the broader history and culture-loving community.

"Imperial Capital Archeology Chronicles" is a unique collectible toy project blending the cultural heritage of the Huế Imperial Citadel, the "blind box" art toy trend, and the Nomion digital identification solution with NFC (Near Field Communication) chip technology, a leading innovation in the field of Phygital (Physical + Digital).

Inspired by the four treasures of the Huế Imperial Citadel—Đại Hồng Chung (Great Bronze Bell), Khẩu Hạ (one of the Nine Holy Cannons), Cao Đỉnh (the first of the Nine Dynastic Urns), and the Nguyễn Dynasty Throne, representing Faith, Strength, Knowledge, and Power respectively—the project transforms these historical artifacts into modern cultural products. These accessible items not only provide an engaging collecting experience but also ignite a love and pride for national history among younger generations.

Each collectible item allows users to uncover the historical stories through an exciting and vibrant "archeology" journey by simply tapping their smartphones on the toys.

Remarks by Mr. Hoàng Việt Trung, Director of the Huế Monuments Conservation Center

During the opening speech, Mr. Hoàng Việt Trung emphasized that Imperial Capital Archeology Chronicles is more than a commercial project—it carries a cultural education mission. Through each product, viewers, students, and visitors can engage with historical stories and traditional cultural values in a lively and understandable way.

“This initiative contributes to raising community awareness, especially among young people, about the importance of heritage preservation and promotion. We believe that historical knowledge will become a driving force to foster patriotism and pride in Vietnam’s identity among the younger generation. At the same time, the project ensures that heritage is not only a part of the past but also connected to the present and future,” Mr. Trung stated.

Panel Discussion: "Leveraging Heritage Copyright – A Sustainable Direction for Developing Vietnam’s Cultural Industry"

As part of the ceremony, a panel discussion on "Leveraging Heritage Copyright – A Sustainable Direction for Developing Vietnam’s Cultural Industry" provided a vibrant forum for exchange and discussion among organizational representatives, cultural experts, and young history enthusiasts interested in the intersection of heritage and technology.

Attendees gained deeper insights into efforts to preserve and protect cultural copyright in the modern context, where technology increasingly plays a critical role in verifying, transmitting, and sharing historical values. Youth contributions provided fresh perspectives on their preferences, revealing that they not only enjoy experiences but also seek to connect with national culture through creative and interactive products in the digital age.
