The Eisa Urakaji Drum Dance Art Troupe from Japan is responsible for creating inspiration for new performances combining drums and dragons of traditional Okinawan Art. Nice rhythm and movements of Eisa blended with the sound of Taiko drums can manage to create an attractively flexible and lively dance. With the desire to make known Okinawa traditional arts to international friends at Hue Festival 2024, each performance of the Troupe brings a joyful, animated, and enthusiastic rhythm, demonstrating the new vitality of the young inherits. "Urakaji" in its name implies bringing a refreshing, wonderful breeze to everywhere.

Eisa is a traditional dance with a long history dating back hundreds of years. This traditional dance is maintained and developed throughout Okinawa - the southernmost prefecture of Japan. The rhythmic movements and beautiful choreography of Eisa blend with the sound of Taiko drums to create a lively and dynamic dance that captivates viewers and keeps them mesmerized.

The Eisa Drum Art Group Urakaji was established in 2002. The name of the group is derived from the word "Taiko" meaning Drum, "Mai" which signifies Dance, and "Raku" representing the traditional 3-stringed instrument - a musical instrument of Okinawa.

With the desire to spread the traditional art of Okinawa to international friends at the Hue Festival 2024, each performance of the group brings lively, energetic rhythms, reflecting the vitality of the younger generation.
