Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Phan Quy Phuong kindly informed that encouraging results have been observed in attracting FDI projects. Investment registration certificates were given to 11 foreign investment projects with the total capital of USD 141,7 million (VND 3.389 billion). So far, there are 126 FDI projects across the province. The total registered capital is USD 4.524,6 million.

Foreign investment has positively affected economic components; stimulated domestic investment; created competitiveness; accelerated innovation and technology transfer; improved production efficiency; developed auxiliary industry; made contribution to letting Vietnam in general and Thua Thien Hue province in particular join in global value chain.

In the past time, Thua Thien Hue has always concerned, supported and stayed by FDI businesses’ sides to overcome obstacles in production, business and construction investment. Besides, the province focuses on promoting investment, seeking solutions and directions with a view to better attract investment.

At the meeting, the representative of Planning and Investment Department, Thua Thien Hue FDI Club and businesses discussed about accelerating foreign investment in producing and processing export products; connecting businesses and localities to promote FDI ecosystem in Thua Thien Hue as well as green economy opportunities.
