This is the main content in Plan No. 37/KH-UBND participating in response to the Earth Hour campaign in 2023 in Thua Thien Hue province. The plan aims to raise the awareness of electricity saving and environmental protection in the whole society, contributing to promoting the implementation of the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy and Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated May 07 of the Prime Minister on Strengthening Electricity Savings for the period 2020-2025. At the same time, propagating, educating and disseminating laws on the economical and efficient use of energy, creating a basis to mobilize and focus the attention, response, and participation of the whole society for the Earth Hour 2023 event. Enhance the responsibility for coordination between state management agencies, social organizations participating in response to Earth Hour 2023, manufacturing enterprises, service businesses and households, participating in many forms such as turning off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment or organizing support activities to cope with the impact of climate change.

Accordingly, the plan to implement the following contents in response to the campaign is as follows: Propaganda on the economical and effective use of energy on Thua Thien Hue Newspaper, Industry and Trade Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television, Vietnam Television Center in Hue (VTV8). Banners at departments, agencies, socio-political organizations, and on some roads and areas. Propagating the Earth Hour campaign to wards, communes, and people's organizations through socio-political organizations to distribute leaflets and loudspeakers of communes and wards. To turn off public lighting, and advertising lighting in some public areas and streets (except for lights in hospitals, traffic lights, and lighting for security protection in key areas in the province) from 20h30 to 21h30 Saturday, March 25, 2023. Encourage people and businesses to turn off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment from 20h30 to 21h30 on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
