At this year’s event, Hue City was awarded the Vietnam’s Smart City Award 2025 by the Vietnam National Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) in smart city management and governance category. It is an important milestone, acknowledging efforts and the creativity of Hue City in applying digital technology, data and smart governance platforms in urban management. This approach is citizen and business centered.
Vietnam’s Smart City 2025 gained several awards including smart city, technology for smart city and technology for smart life. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa – the VINASA’s Chairman emphasized the importance of digital technology, and data in national governance, smart city development and the improvement of local living standard.
In recent years, Hue City has implemented several solutions such as developing shared digital ecosystem Hue-S, applying artificial intelligence in urban management, strengthening the connection and data share among fields, expanding online public services, raising the awareness and digital skills for the community via “Binh dan hoc vu so” program and digital learning day on Hue-S.
Hue has also invested and effectively operated platforms serving management and governance such as HueIOC Center system, big data analysis platform, AI-based traffic, environment and security management systems. These contribute to improving task efficiency, shortening time required for processing administrative procedures, giving early prediction in many fields and enhancing public service quality.
As digital government and smart city development are the city’s strategic priorities, Hue has achieved impressive results in national and international rankings such as Asian Telecommunications Award 2019, Sao Khue Award, ASOCIO 2022, and the second ranking on Digital Transformation Index.
Vietnam’s Smart City Award 2025 proves the unceasing efforts of Hue City in modern, transparent and effective urban management. It is an essential motivation for Hue City to improve and expand smart governance scenario, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation for a heritage, smart and sustainable city.
