Photographers had a chance to discover lagoon, countryside, mountainous area, Hue royal heritages, local life, etc. Photos taken by passionate photographers gave a new angle and contributed to advertising the locality.
Of 541 entries, the organizer presented 8 prizes to photographers. The special prize was presented to photographer Micheal Siy from the Philippines with a photo featuring lantern floating at Ngoc Dich lake (Hue Citadel, Hue city). The other seven prizes were awarded to photographers whose photos describing Hue heritages, craft village, urban culture, architecture, landscape, citizens and life on lagoon.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Hai Trung, Vice Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the head of Organizer, Hue International Photography Festival will be held once every two years. The organizer will select new destination to diversify photographer’s experience and contribute to advertising history, culture, people and Hue to international friends. After being on display in coming November, all entries and prize-winning photos will be presented to Hue Monuments Conservation Center.
Jointly held by Hue Monuments Conservation Center and Crossing Bridge 20Plus, Hue International Photography Festival 2023 attracted 116 photographers across the region. Of all, there were 97 international photographers from Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and 19 photographers from localities across Vietnam.
