Lion dance and lantern procession 2023 not only creates an exciting festivity for the young, citizens and visitors, but also conserves and promotes national cultural tradition. In addition to this, the event is expected to bring teams, artists and students an opportunity to exchange with each other.

The event will be organized from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM from September 25 to September 26 (the eleventh and twelfth day of the eighth lunar month). On the first day, students from secondary schools across Hue city and 2 lion dance teams will attend the lantern procession. They will depart at Trinh Cong Son park, then move across streets like Chi Lang, Nguyen Du, Ngu Vien and Bach Dang before returning to the departure.

On the following day, participants will start at Trinh Cong Son park, then move across Gia Hoi bridge, Tran Hung Dao, Trang Tien bridge, Hung Vuong street, Ben Nghe street, Doi Cung street, Le Loi street before reaching the final destination, Hue University of Education. Ten lion dance teams, 3 secondary schools winning the first and second prize the previous day and 4 traditional marital art clubs across Hue city will join the procession.

Hue lion Dance Festival and lantern procession has been held by Hue city twice. The event is expected to bring sparkling performances, serve locals and visitors coming to Hue on Mid-autumn festival occasion.
