The 2nd Phong Dien Half Marathon 2023 will be held at Phuoc Tich village, Phong Hoa commune, Phong Dien district on December 10, 2023. There are three distances 5km, 10km and 21km. During the race, they will get exciting experience, discover the beauty of Phuoc Tich village and the gentle and romantic O Lau river. As informed by the Organizer, there are 1000 athletes registering for the event. Of all, the number of runners joining in 5km and 10km distance is 527 and 290, respectively. One-hundred eighty-three athletes registered for the 21km distance.

Mr. Hoang Van Thai, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Phong Dien district, Head of the organizing board kindly informed that the event was being prepared. Recently, the Organizer and Hue Citadel Runner club ensured security and health condition, measured distances, prepared necessities such as T-shirt, chip, etc.

Phong Dien Half Marathon 2023 is expected to attract visitors far and near to attend and experience activities at Phuoc Tich village; introduce Phong Dien district and its people; connect civil officers, students, employees and athletes far and near. The event aims to accelerate “Toan dan ren luyen than the theo guong Bac Ho vi dai” (entire people physically practice, following the great example of Uncle Ho), enhance physical training spirit, accelerate local physical training and sport.

Phuoc Tich is the second village recognized and ranked as national relic. Unique “nha ruong” (wooden house) and natural landscape as well as the identity of the Vietnamese village still can be found at this 500-year-old village.
