When it comes to Vietnam, Hue is an ideal destination to relax and learn about the past. As home to rich history, culture, revolutionary tradition, cultural heritages, historical relics, and hundreds of festivals imbued with national cultural identity and Hue culture, Thua Thien Hue has great potential to become a festival city, a center for culture in both Vietnam and Asian countries.

In 2024, Thua Thien Hue makes an effort to welcome about 3,5 - 4 million turns of visitors. The number of domestic visitors is expected to account for around 60-70% while the total revenue is intended to reach VND 7.000 - 8.000.

To make further progress as Hue becomes a centrally managed city, Thua Thien Hue plans to develop various distinctive and high-quality tourism products including culture, heritage, ecology, marine, lagoon, resort, wellness tourism, spiritual tourism, cuisine, agriculture, OCOP products, convention in 2024 and coming years. Of all, culture-heritage tourism is considered as the key sector. The province will continue to develop smart tourism based on digital transformation, green development, and sustainability; and introduce tourism products that are associated with local tourism brands such as Festival City, the capital of gastronomy, and the capital of Aodai.
