The Vesak Buddha's Birthday Ceremony PL.2569 - DL.2025 in Hue City will be held from the 1st to the 15th of the 4th month of the Year of the Snake (April 28 - May 12, 2025), featuring a rich array of meaningful Buddhist activities to honor the birth of the Venerable Father Shakyamuni Buddha, pray for the glory of the nation, the enduring Dharma, world peace, and the happiness of all sentient beings.
Vesak is a significant and sacred annual event for monks, nuns, and Buddhists worldwide. The ceremony commemorates three major events in the life of Shakyamuni Buddha: his birth, enlightenment, and entry into Nirvana. Since 1999, the United Nations has recognized Vesak as a global cultural and religious festival for peace through a resolution, and it has since been held annually at the UN headquarters and in member countries.

- Begin the decoration work for public areas – Launch and arrange 7 lotus flowers in front of Nghenh Luong Dinh
Day 04 of the 4th Month of the Year of the Snake (01/5/2025)
- 14:00: Opening ceremony and recitation of the Lotus Sutra for the week at Tu Dam Pagoda
- 16:00: Opening of the Buddhist culture exhibition at Lieu Quan Center
- 19:00: Ceremony of lighting 7 lotus flowers on the Huong River, praying for national peace and prosperity
Day 15 of the 4th Month of the Year of the Snake (12/5/2025)
- 06:00: Official Vesak Buddha's Birthday Ceremony at the altar of Tu Dam Pagoda
- 18:00: Parade starting from Tu Dam Pagoda
