The programming competition for high school students and the creative information technology products for college and university students, abbreviated as "Hue-ICT Challenge," is organized jointly by Hue University of Sciences (HUSC) and the Information Technology and Telecommunications Association of Thua Thien Hue Province (ICT & TVT Association). It is carried out annually under the direction of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Provincial Information Technology Center of Thua Thien Hue Province.
The Hue-ICT Challenge aims to promote learning and research activities in the field of information technology among students from secondary schools, high schools, colleges, and universities in the Central Highlands and Central regions, as well as nationwide. It serves as a bridge between the Government, educational institutions, and businesses in nurturing and developing IT human resources locally, regionally, and nationally.
Following the success of the Hue-ICT Challenge 2023, on December 6, 2023, Hue University of Sciences and the ICT & TVT Association of Thua Thien Hue Province signed a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Computer Association to provide sponsorship and professional advice alongside the guidance of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province to enhance the professionalism of the competition. Hue-ICT Challenge 2024 is ensured with professional expertise by the Advisory Board, consisting of:
