Vice Chairman Phan Quy Phuong emphasized that Thua Thien Hue had established cooperative relation with Japanese localities such as Nara, Kyoto, Gifu and other cities. The province honorably welcomed Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko in 2017.

This year, “Meet Japan 2023” focuses on clarifying major directions and specific solutions to promote Vietnam-Japan cooperation relation in trade, investment, education training, human resource cooperation, cultural cooperation, tourism, people-to-people exchange and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan in the coming time.
Within the framework of the conference, the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Vietnam - Japan typical product display and 3 thematic sessions on the following topics trade - investment promotion; education and training and human resource cooperation; cooperation in culture and tourism development.
