Boosting productivity with AI
According to Mr. Tran Minh Trong, MA, a trainer certified globally by Google For Education and a specialist in management capacity development and corporate culture building at LEADMAN Institute, AI consists of tools trained to automatically perform tasks typically done by humans, with capabilities to create ideas, texts, images, videos, to handle administrative and office work, and to communicate with customers. AI brings many benefits for learning and research, increases labor productivity, and provides entertainment.
Currently, many businesses have begun registering for paid AI accounts to serve various company activities. According to surveys, AI features used by businesses include writing website content to improve Google rankings with quality content, creating social content to increase engagement and attract followers with strategic fanpage content, scripting videos to attract and retain viewers on TikTok and YouTube with creative and unique scenarios.

Ms. Ho Nhat Phuong, Director of SBC Hoang Gia Co., Ltd., shared that she and her HR team extensively apply AI in business operations, especially in designing social media posts, promotion, and brand design for each product and platform. Additionally, the company’s staff effectively uses AI for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business planning, thereby establishing key tasks for each team to achieve planned objectives. Currently, AI has helped the company save over 20% of workload and time. The company has plans for staff to participate in AI training courses to optimize business processes and enhance work efficiency through the use of AI.
Helping businesses catch trends
While AI is providing significant support to businesses, many companies still haven’t recognized the impacts that AI is bringing.
The City’s Department of Finance, in collaboration with the CEO Club, recently organized the training course “AI Business Master: Applying Gen AI to Increase Efficiency and Reduce Costs for Businesses”. At this event, Mr. Dang Huu Son, Founder & CEO of LovinBot – Startup, asked 100 businesses with the question of “Which businesses have applied AI in their operations?”, and found that only about 50% reported using AI in some business activities. For the second question, “Does your business have a paid account for an AI application?”, only 2-3 hands were raised among the businesses.
Meanwhile, survey data from Meta in the Vietnam market shows that 93% of businesses have applied at least one AI tool for customer communication and outreach. This indicates that businesses are ready to embrace technological innovation. However, as shared by Mr. Dang Huu Son, businesses are merely applying AI based on experience, without managing AI usage processes, leading to risks such as communication crises, data control issues, and data security problems. This is one of the challenges that business owners need to clearly define before implementing AI in their operations.
Furthermore, many businesses still don’t know how to leverage AI effectively or where to start to increase application efficiency and improve labor productivity. These business challenges have been recognized and supported by government authorities and related sectors, particularly the Department of Finance. Evidence of this includes continuous collaboration between the Department of Finance and organizations like Hue CEO Club and Business Associations in April and May 2025 to organize practical AI training courses, helping businesses become familiar with and improve effectiveness in applying AI. This helps businesses reduce costs and optimize work efficiency.
Training courses evaluated as effective for businesses include: “AI Business Master” and “Optimal solutions for businesses using artificial intelligence applications”. These courses also had large business registration numbers, exceeding initial expectations. Organizing units had to stop accepting registrations early and plan additional intensive training sessions to meet business demand while ensuring training program quality.
Ms. Le Thi Hong Mai, Head of the Business Registration section of the Department of Finance, shared that capacity-building training courses based on business needs are being continuously implemented to help businesses leverage advantages for development. These training courses will be conducted practically with content related to AI applications, multi-channel sales, cash flow financial management, and 1:1 consulting for business development strategy building. Businesses can proactively contact the Business Registration Section or associations to register for support packages from the department and city.
To continuously develop and integrate internationally, businesses also need to change their mindset in approaching AI to optimize processes. As shared by Mr. Tran Minh Trong, businesses need a “play, learn, work” strategy with AI. When using AI, responsibility and ethics are necessary, emphasizing “genuine products, real quality”, respecting AI ideas and copyrights, ensuring the principle of “using free versions for learning and playing, but paying for applications when working professionally to ensure quality.”
