Endowed by nature with rare beauty, Lang Co Bay is a harmonious convergence of blue sea, lagoons, mountain forests, and distinctive cultural values of the Central region. Beyond being a source of local pride, Lang Co possesses immense potential to develop high-quality, sustainable, and eco-friendly tourism. Alongside preserving the natural landscape, the locality consistently focuses on innovating and diversifying tourism products to offer fresh experiences for visitors.

Based on that orientation, the sailing performance on Lang Co Bay was organized with the goal of creating an additional signature tourism product, combining marine sports, natural exploration, and destination marketing. Set against the turquoise waters of the bay, 20 colorful sails catching the wind and riding the waves created a striking scene, drawing large crowds of locals and tourists to admire. Beyond bringing unique beauty to the bay area, the sails also symbolized the spirit of conquering the ocean, harmony between humans and nature, and the aspiring drive of the Lang Co region.
This marks the first time a sailing activity has been held in Lang Co, signifying a new step forward in effectively exploiting the locality's natural advantages in seas, lagoons, and landscapes. Chan May – Lang Co commune expects the program to enrich the tourism product ecosystem and generate a fresh pull for domestic and international visitors.

Alongside the captivating performances by athletes, the Organizing Committee arranged for delegates and tourists to experience sailing directly. The activity offered an opportunity to discover the beauty of Lang Co Bay from a new vantage point, allowing participants to fully sense the vast openness of the sea and sky while experiencing the thrill of gliding with the wind across one of the world's most beautiful bays.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang stated that Hue Festival 2026 continues to reaffirm the vision of developing Hue City into a signature Festival City of Vietnam—a destination gathering and spreading cultural values, heritage, natural scenery, and unique tourism offerings. Organizing events at iconic landmarks like Lang Co Bay, including the sailing demonstration, not only promotes the destination's image but also drives tourism-driven economic development toward green and sustainable growth.

The Vice Chairman also revealed that in the coming time, the city will continue to research and refine the event to turn sailing into a full-scale annual regatta linked with the "Lang Co - World's Beautiful Bay" program, thereby step-by-step building a brand for marine sports tourism and elevating Lang Co's position on domestic and international tourism maps.
