Duong No village (Phu Duong commune, Hue) is the village where President Ho Chi Minh lived and studied as a teenager from 1898 to 1900.
With the theme "Duong No - May Journey", this is the first time the Duong No Village Festival is held and in the future, this will be a festival held regularly on Uncle Ho's birthday to thank President Ho Chi Minh for his dedication and sacrifice to the country, to the nation, and the passionate feelings of the people for him - Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of Department of Culture and Sports spoke at the opening program.
If Nghe An is the homeland where he was born and lived in the early years of his life, Thua Thien Hue is where he grew up, went to school, and participated in patriotic activities in the early twentieth century. More than 10 years of living and studying on Hue land, the soul of the land and humanity here has contributed to molding the patriotic young man Nguyen Tat Thanh with outstanding wisdom, enthusiastic heart, noble soul, and above all, love for the homeland, love for the people, transformed into the desire to save the country and save the people.

During those important years, Duong No village became an indispensable landmark in his imprint in Thua Thien Hue. The name of the land, the name of the village such as the communal house, the stone wharf, and the house where he lived and began to go to school was engraved in his mind at the time of his birth. Today, these places become the invaluable heritage of the people of Hue.
Taking place from May 16 - 18/5, after the opening art program, there are many activities in the festival taking place in the following days such as Hue and bolero singing shows, racing on the Pho Loi river, folk games, traditional cuisine in Duong No village...
