At the ceremony, the Speaker of Korean National Assembly, Mr. Kim Jin-Pyo sent a congratulation video. Mr. Kim Jin-Pyo congratulated the hospital on the expansion project and highly appreciated the contribution of leaders and hospital staff over the past time, particularly during the fight against Covid-19 pandemic. As the regional major hospital which is equipped with high-qualified staff and modern equipment, the hospital has currently cared for local health.
The boundary marking ceremony, therefore plays an essential role in hospital’s development. “I always believe in the prosperity of Hue Central Hospital”, said Mr. Kim Jin-Pyo. In the future, we committed to care and provide support to further accelerate healthcare cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, Mr. Kim Jin-Pyo emphasized.

Having visited departments and high-tech rooms, the Korean National Assembly Member was impressed by results achieved by hospital staff.
Since 2016, Hue Central Hospital 2 has become one of the key healthcare centers to the north of Thua Thien Hue province in particular and Central Vietnam in general. Hue Central Hospital is a regional reliable health care unit which is equipped with modern technology like cardiovascular intervention, surgery, MRI scanning, etc. It offers 300-500 patient beds and professional services performed by high qualified staff.
Korean National Assembly Member believed these achievements were recognized by not only her, but also Health Ministry and the government of the Republic of Korea.
Recent transformations observed in hospital’s infrastructure, staff and technology left a great impression on the delegation. These allow Hue Central Hospital 2 to accelerate national health care sector. According to delegates, a number of Korean non-governmental organizations, businesses and hospitals would like to cooperate and introduce cooperative activities so that Hue Central Hospital 2 would be further grow in the coming time.
Professor, Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep, the Director of Hue Central Hospital kindly informed that breakthroughs had been made in hospital staff, expertise, infrastructure and equipment in the past 12 years. It was the Republic of Korea that contributed to this improvement.
This is the second time that Korean National Assembly Member has visited Hue Central Hospital 2. Director Pham Nhu Hiep hoped that bilateral cooperation would be sustainably maintained and that Hue Central Hospital 2 would be supported by the Republic of Korea in training and enhancing infrastructure.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Permanent Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province Nguyen Thanh Binh believed that Vietnam - Korea relation has achieved positive results thanks to the support from both governments as well as efforts made by Thua Thien Hue to support Korean partners. In fact, many projects jointly carried out by the two countries are now available in the province such as Hue city planning and Hue Central Hospital 2.
According to Vice Chairman, Thua Thien Hue is making effort to become a centrally-managed city in early 2025. One of the main objectives is to develop Hue as the center for intensive health care in the region. Hue Central Hospital 2 is regarded as a crucial core. Therefore, Phong Dien district is given favorable condition to search for investment while Hue Central Hospital 2 is given support to expand and be well-equipped.
