“Buoc chan di san 2025” campaign launched in Hue city

On September 14, 2025, Hue City Department of Science and Technology, An Binh Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ABBANK) and Startup Vietnam Foundation (SVF) jointly launched “Buoc chan di san 2025” (Vietnam Heritage Stride) campaign in Hue city. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, the Standing Member of City Party Committee, Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hue city attended the ceremony.

As part of the “Doi moi tren nen di san, thuc day cong nghiep van hoa sang tao, phat trien tuong lai ben vung” (Heritage-based innovation, promote cultural industry and develop sustainable future) project, the campaign aims to raise public awareness of Vietnamese cultural heritage. This online running event on Vrace App platform will encourage participants to engage in physical activity, introduce start-up products and traditional crafts.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, the Vice Director of the Science and Technology Department Tran Thi Thuy Yen emphasized that the ceremony is expected to share the significance of “Buoc chan di san 2025” campaign, introduce Hue – the city of heritage, innovation and sustainable development. In addition, the event connects start-ups, youths, locals, businesses and social organizations. Through sporting and innovative activities, the campaign will promote cultural heritage values and provide everyone a meaningful and healthy activity.

The highlight of this year’s journey is Hue Ancient Capital which is home to living museums of Vietnamese culture. There are dozens of unique craft villages located in the city such as Phuoc Tich pottery, Thanh Tien paper flower, A Luoi Zeng weaving, My Lam conical hat, Loc Thuy essential oil, Bao La bamboo knitting, etc.

Certificates awarded to units joining the campaign

In its first phase, the running event is held by SVF and was launched online on vRace platform from August 8, 2025 to November 9, 2025. Then, support is given to craft villages during the second phase between November 2025 and July 2026. Every 1 kilometer equal to VND 10.000 submitted to the fund for artisan support and craft product development. This includes in-depth training for artisans, product development, market expansion, financial support and others.

“Buoc chan di san 2025” campaign is expected to be not only an online running event, but also a journey connecting sport and culture, heritage and start-up. Each participant’s step makes a contribution to not only preserving and spreading traditional craft villages but also motivating start-up community. The campaign will provide a meaningful opportunity for everyone to physically practice, feel proud of Hue’s heritage and strive for a sustainable future.
