Aiming to connect pedestrian and cycling paths along the southern bank of the Huong River to serve the recreational needs like strolling and cycling of both residents and tourists, the People’s Committee of Thuan Hoa District continues to invest in the pedestrian path project along the Huong River from Toa Kham wharf to Dap Da. With a total investment of over 35.2 billion VND, the project includes the construction of a 460-meter-long, 6-meter-wide path for both pedestrians and cyclists. The project also incorporates water supply, drainage systems and lighting infrastructure to meet usage demands. The expected completion date is August 30th, 2025.
To complete the infrastructure around Toa Kham Wharf, in 2024, the former Hue City People’s Committee implemented a project to expand the tourist parking area at the wharf, with a total investment of nearly 1.2 billion VND. The project included expanding the Toa Kham parking lot to an area of 1,200 square meters, planting trees and grass, painting road markings, installing traffic signs, and equipping the parking area with floodlights.
