Under the theme "Society and Culture in Asia in the Digital Age," the International Scientific Conference LSCAC 2024 - Language, Society, and Culture in the Asian Context will take place from November 22 to November 24, 2024, in Hue City, co-organized by The College of Hue.
LSCAC 2024 is part of a series of conferences, held since 2007 by universities within the organizing committee, including the University of Hyderabad (India), Malang National University (Indonesia), Mahasarakham University (Thailand), University of Education - Hue University (Vietnam), the Institute of Cultural Anthropology (Vietnam), The College of Hue (Vietnam), the Institute of Northeast Asian Art and Cultural Studies (Thailand), and others.
The conference aims to create an international platform to discuss and analyze the distinctive features that define the strength of Asian societies, such as multicultural, multilingual, diverse, and dynamic social structures, and the crucial role of digital technology in driving comprehensive and sustainable development. Topics will explore both the positive impacts and downsides of digital technology in preserving, conserving, and promoting indigenous knowledge, culture, language, education, environment, economic diversity, women’s empowerment, policy-making, and social protection, among others.
The conference will provide a forum to share knowledge and analyze the impact of digital technology on Asian societies, seeking positive solutions and proposing ways to apply them to educational innovation and cultural cooperation among nations. It will also serve as an opportunity for Vietnamese and international scholars to exchange academic ideas, collaborate on research, and strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and the world, contributing to Vietnam's international cultural and educational integration.
As the first-time host of the LSCAC 2024 International Scientific Conference, The College of Hue has proactively collaborated with the Institute of Cultural Anthropology (the leading organizer) to prepare for the successful and effective organization of the conference.
