As part of the Hue Festival 2026 event series, the "Hue - Culinary Capital 2026" program themed "Hue Beef Noodle Soup Festival" officially takes place from July 23 to July 26, 2026, at Thuong Bac Park (Phu Xuan Ward, Hue City).
The event is hosted by the Department of Tourism to honor the iconic dish of the Ancient Capital and affirm the position of Vietnamese cuisine on the international map.

A culinary intersection in the heart of the Ancient Capital

Right on opening day, the lush green space along the poetic Perfume River at Thuong Bac Park became a bustling destination attracting large crowds of locals and tourists. The event brings together 80 diverse stalls from eateries, restaurants, craft villages, culinary artisans, and chefs' associations from Hue alongside numerous provinces and cities nationwide, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Nghe An, Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Quang Tri, Binh Dinh, Gia Lai, and more.

Attending the program, visitors not only get to savor the authentic taste of Hue Beef Noodle Soup (Bún bò Huế) right in the Ancient Capital but also have the opportunity to experience the culinary essence of various regions through countless familiar dishes such as phở, bún chả, crab noodle soup (bún riêu cua), Quang-style noodles (mì Quảng), hủ tiếu, fermented fish noodle soup (bún mắm), along with many unique OCOP products and local specialties.

  • Establishing a unique culinary record: The explosive highlight is the record-setting attempt for "The event with the most people cooking, performing, and serving Hue Beef Noodle Soup for simultaneous enjoyment at one time," offering a visually stunning and flavorful experience for the public.

  • Art Show "The Legend of Van Cu and the Royal Flavor Symphony": A vivid artistic masterpiece recreating the historical story of the legendary Van Cu noodle craft village, portraying the formation and development of Bún bò Huế closely tied to the cultural depth of the Ancient Capital.
