15 YEARS OF LANG CO – WORLD'S BEAUTIFUL BAY (2009 – 2024)

Lang Co Bay is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Vietnam, located between two major cities, Hue and Da Nang, on the Central Vietnam heritage route "Phong Nha - Ke Bang - Hue Imperial City - Hoi An Ancient Town - My Son Sanctuary", and the East-West economic corridor that is integrating and developing.

In May 2009, at the 5th Summit of the World's Most Beautiful Bays Club (WorldBays - Club) held in Setubal City, Portugal, Lang Co Bay was elected as the 30th member of the Club.

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Lang Co Bay being honored as one of the World's Beautiful Bays, aiming to continue to honor, promote, exploit, and conserve the beautiful values that nature has bestowed upon this land, the People's Committee of Phu Loc District organized the "15 Years of Lang Co – World's Beautiful Bay" Commemoration Program with many exciting and culturally rich activities characteristic of the region.

Within the framework of the program, various artistic activities, cultural events, traditional and modern sports activities will take place to promote the beauty of Vietnamese culture to tourists, friends both domestically and internationally. These activities include folk games, culinary experiences, kite flying, exhibitions combined with showcasing and introducing local key products, OCOP products, fishing festivals, traditional boat races, coracle races, paragliding, jogging, and low-altitude fireworks displays...

According to the plan, the event commemorating the 15th anniversary of "Lang Co Bay recognized as one of the World's Beautiful Bays" will coincide with the opening of the pedestrian street on Nguyen Van Road near Lap An Lagoon.

This is considered a contribution to creating outstanding tourism products to serve local residents, domestic and international tourists, stimulating tourism demand, especially during the summer of 2024, laying the groundwork for subsequent years to make Lang Co an attractive destination on the North-South tourism route.
