Situated between Hue City and Da Nang City, Lang Co Bay has long been renowned as an enchanting destination where blue seas, white sands, majestic mountains, and a unique lagoon ecosystem converge. In 2009, Lang Co Bay officially became the 30th member of the World Bays Club, marking a crucial milestone in its journey to assert its position on the global tourism map.
With a theme dedicated to honoring the natural values, culture, and people of the Chan May – Lang Co region, this year’s program was organized on a grand scale with diverse activities, creating an appealing festive space that spanned multiple days.
Artistic Highlights and Vibrant Sports Movements
The crown jewel of the event series was the Opening Art Program held at the An Cu Lagoon area under the theme “Echoes of the Great Forests and Oceans.” The program gathered numerous artists and performers in meticulously staged acts that recreated the natural beauty, indigenous culture, and developmental aspirations of this coastal land located in the south of Hue City.

Running parallel to the artistic performances was a series of dynamic community sports events. Most notable was the Chan May – Lang Co Running Race 2026, which attracted nearly 1,400 athletes. Other events included the “Chan May – Lang Co World's Beautiful Bay” Golf Tournament, a pickleball tournament, and a women's artificial turf football tournament. These activities not only provided a healthy playground for residents and tourists but also actively promoted the local sports tourism profile.

One of the most popular spectacles among tourists was the sailing performance on Lang Co Bay. Against the poetic backdrop of the bay, multicolored sails gliding across the azure water created a vivid living canvas, beautifully accentuating the splendor of this globally recognized landscape.

Cultural Echoes and Impressive Tourism Figures
Furthermore, the festive atmosphere was expanded with various interactive cultural and entertainment activities, including artistic kite flying, street art performances, community cultural exchanges, and local culinary showcases. In particular, the floating lantern release on An Cu Lagoon created a shimmering, magical scenery that left a lasting impression on the hearts of residents and visitors alike.
Through this diverse chain of activities, the program did not merely honor the beauty of Lang Co Bay but also introduced the unique cultural values of the Chan May – Lang Co region—a crossroads where the sea, lagoons, and a rich community lifestyle intertwine. It also served as an excellent occasion to promote local tourism products, luxury resort services, culinary delights, and signature ecological experiences to domestic and foreign travelers.

According to local statistics, during the event, the Chan May – Lang Co area welcomed approximately 38,000 visitor arrivals who came to sightsee, vacation, and experience the festival activities. This figure demonstrates the growing appeal of Lang Co on the Central Vietnam tourism map, as well as the efficiency of destination marketing campaigns deployed in recent years.
Far beyond an annual cultural and tourism event, “Lang Co – World's Beautiful Bay 2026” conveys a powerful message regarding the responsibility to conserve nature, protect environmental landscapes, and promote traditional cultural values. Ultimately, it drives the vision of developing Lang Co into a green, friendly, safe, and attractive destination, truly worthy of its title as one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
