The Zhejiang Wu Opera Research Centre, established in 1956, has performed in 49 countries and territories across 5 continents, showcasing the charm of traditional Zhejiang opera and Chinese classical opera.

Unlike Peking Opera, which is widely known to originate from Beijing, Wu Opera (婺剧) is a genre of Chinese classical opera that originated in Zhejiang Province. It showcases its own distinctive character and style, emphasizing folk elements and martial arts, while seamlessly integrating both aspects in its artistic presentation.

The Zhejiang Wu Opera Research Centre in China has been actively involved in reviving, developing, and innovating traditional Wu Opera, enriching its artistic repertoire. The performances are emotionally engaging, with graceful choreography, stunning martial arts, resounding music, and clearly defined character traits expressed through costumes and appearance, promising audiences captivating and distinctive acts.

At the Hue Festival 2024 in the ancient capital of Hue, the Centre will stage and perform some outstanding pieces, such as:

- The Nine-Segment Dragon Dance: portraying the perfect depiction of a dragon's movements, symbolizing auspiciousness and bringing vitality.

- "Lü Bu Captures the Red Hare": Depicts the battle where the renowned general Lü Bu captures the famous steed Red Hare during the Three Kingdoms period.

- Solo Performance of the "Apple Picking" Traditional Flute: A song about happiness, commonly used during summer gatherings. The melody expresses passion and depicts northern Chinese villagers in autumn, picking apples and engaging in conversation.

- "The Three Encounters with White Bone Demon": Depicts the journey of Tang Sanzang and his disciples to India to obtain Buddhist scriptures. The White Bone Demon attempts to devour Tang Sanzang three times by transforming into various human forms, but each time is thwarted and defeated by Sun Wukong.

- "The Battle of Four Quarters City": Features a female warrior fighting celestial soldiers and generals in the city of Four Quarters. A short excerpt of 6 minutes focuses on dynamic martial arts choreography, showcasing impressive combat sequences.
