This activity aims to exploit the potentials, trademark and unique cultural values of Hue Aodai; associate Hue tourism with Aodai; accelerate tourism development; honor Hue Aodai and Vietnamese Aodai; affirm “Hue - the kingdom of Aodai” trademark; contributing to introducing Hue culture and promoting tourism; promoting “Hue - the kingdom of Aodai” project; making contribution to introducing Hue culture and accelerating tourism; conducting “Hue - Kinh do Ao dai” project effectively.
Activities should be held in a economical, safe and effective manner with the comprehensive participation of social resources. The participation of the community including locals and those from country-wide localities, particularly Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city.
Accordingly, the community Aodai week 2024 will be held from June 24 to June 30, 2024. A chain of activities will be organized to commemorate, advertise and honor Aodai; encourage and call for public to participate in Hue community Aodai week 2024.
The Aodai week brings together cultural activities such as offering incense and flower to Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat; a parade to pay tribute to Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat; incense offering to Emperor Minh Mang who turn Aodai into national costume; the introduction of “Chiec ao 5 than” book, a forum on standardlize traditional aodai; “Hanoi - Hue - Saigon” Aodai art program; “Ao dai Viet Nam and Hanbok/Hanphuc program; “Vu dieu Aodai” program; “Hoa tiet 12 con Giap tren tem buu chinh” aodai designing and performing contest; Aodai and cycling for the environment; “Di san nghe Hue - se duyen voi Ao dai” program; Flashmob Carnival “ao dai xuong pho - ruc ro sac he”.
Additionally, other activities will take place on the side line of the Hue community Aodai week 2024: “Aodai hoa nhip Hue thuong” program; a festival in which sport clubs from communes and wards across Hue city exchange together; presenting aodai to workers from disadvantaged background; Aodai contest; “Aodai lang co” program in which traditional activities in Phuoc Tich ancient village were recreated; “Aodai cho que” featuring rural market in Thanh Toan tile-roofed bridge; “Aodai voi di san” online photo contest.
Besides, a drawing contest on traditional aodai will be held for students from secondary and high schools. On this occasion, departments, agencies and localities will organize Aodai-related activities; encourage officers, employees, students, traders and community to participate in Aodai on Hue community Aodai week 2024.
