Event Organization & Scale
The event is jointly hosted by the Executive Board of the Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam and the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2026. It will span two days, from May 28 to 29, 2026 (corresponding to the 12th and 13th days of the 4th lunar month). The opening ceremony will commence at 16:00 on May 28, 2026, at the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Walking Street.
This year’s festival gathers 56 culinary booths featuring 100 diverse dishes meticulously prepared by local and outside hotels, restaurants, and Buddhist pagodas. It is expected to serve over 5,000 visitors. With elaborate preparation and a perfect harmony of flavor, color, and nutrition, the festival promises to offer tourists a rich and profound experience of Hue’s vegetarian cuisine.
Cultural Philosophy
In the flow of integration and development, culture serves as the thread connecting the past, present, and future—and vegetarian cuisine is a subtle expression of that cultural depth. Far beyond a mere dietary choice, vegetarian dining embodies a humanistic philosophy of life that steers individuals toward goodness and emphasizes harmony between humanity and nature.
Through each simple yet intricately crafted dish, diners can savor the beauty of tradition, find inner peace, and embrace the message of a green, sustainable lifestyle that the community is striving toward.
