Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam are located on the Central Heritage Road with 9 world cultural heritages honored by UNESCO as well as owning destinations, tourism services, cultural experience activities, cuisine, adventure sports, etc., to create a diverse and rich tourism ecosystem.
In this program, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam coordinated together to organize many activities to promote and develop local tourism, including introducing destinations, events, festivals, products, and tourism services, especially tourism stimulus programs; showing movies about images of destinations, culture, tourism, and OCOP products; B2B space is for tourism businesses to exchange, introduce information, offer and sell tourism products and services, and sign cooperation with partners.
At the program, businesses from three provinces and cities in Central Vietnam directly introduced to Taiwanese (Chinese) partners new tourism products, suitable to the tastes and needs of Taiwanese tourists. This helps partners have a comprehensive and updated view of new services and experiences that tourists can expect when coming to Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam. At the same time, businesses also launch many attractive promotions to give away preferential vouchers to Taiwanese tourists.
According to Mr. Vu Tien Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, in the first 5 months of 2024, Vietnam welcomed nearly 530,000 Taiwanese visitors, an increase of 110.1% compared to that of the previous year, of which about 45% of tourists went to tourist destinations in the Central region such as Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang, etc. Meanwhile, the number of Vietnamese tourists choosing Taiwan as their favorite tourist destination is also increasing. At the same time, Mr. Dung also affirmed that the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei will always accompany Vietnamese localities, including Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam, and Taiwanese partners in promoting the development of tourism cooperation and cultural exchange and promotion activities between the two sides.
Thua Thien Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam tourism introduction program in Taipei City, Taiwan (China) aims to build a sustainable cooperative relationship between the Vietnamese and Taiwanese tourism industries, opening up many new opportunities to attract Taiwanese tourists to the Central region of Vietnam, at the same time, promote the brand "Amazing Central Vietnam Heritage" to affirm the position of Central Vietnam as a unique cultural, historical, and natural tourist destination on the international tourism map. Hopefully, soon, the number of tourists from Taiwan to the central region of Vietnam will grow strongly.
According to the representative of the Department of Tourism, in 2024, the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue will take on the role of cluster leader linking tourism development in 5 provinces and cities to be the "Magical Heritage Region" - Quang Nam - Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue - Quang Tri - Quang Binh. Through the program, the province's tourism industry hopes to strengthen the tourism development cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Taiwan (China), especially connecting the Taiwanese tourist market with Central Vietnam. Thereby, promoting and developing tourism in the Central region in particular and Vietnam in general.
