People’s artist Nguyen Dinh Dung (the former Vice Director of Hue Singing Art Theater) were one of the 8 artists given the title. Others are from Hue Singing Art Theater, Hue Traditional and Royal Art Theater. They are meritorious artist Nguyen Van Muoi, meritorious artist Pham Thi Le, meritorious artist Phan Thi Bach Hoa, meritorious artist Pham Thi Thu Thuy, meritorious artist Nguyen Ngoc Linh, meritorious artist Hoang Ha and meritorious artist Tran Tuan Lin.

These titles prove the contribution, intellectual, talent and the devotion of artists to culture and art development of Vietnam in general and Thua Thien Hue in particular.

Sharing happiness with artists who were given the honorable titles, the leader of Thua Thien Hue province showed his hope and belief in their contribution. Chairman expected artists to continue to show their talents, compose and make contribution to local growth. Besides, the provincial leader hoped that artists would contribute to training talented artists, conserving and promoting cultural and art values.

Chairman kindly requested the Department of Culture and Sport to soon propose mechanisms and policies to encourage artists.
