Thua Thien Hue organizes three fireworks display locations to welcome New Year

Fireworks welcomes the Year of Dragon
According to the plan for organizing activities to celebrate the Party and the Lunar New Year (Year of the Wood Tiger) in 2024, Thừa Thiên Huế province will host three high-altitude fireworks display locations to welcome the New Year. The locations include Huế City, Quảng Điền district, and Phú Vang district, funded through socialization initiatives.
Fireworks welcomes the Year of Dragon

Specifically, in Huế City, there will be 1,000 fireworks; in Quảng Điền district, 500 fireworks; and in Phú Vang district, another 500 fireworks. Additionally, the Center for Conservation of Hue Imperial City Heritage will organize low-altitude fireworks above the Flagpole in the cultural program to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Wood Tiger at 22:00 on February 9, 2024 (the 30th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Water Buffalo), funded through socialization. The People's Committee of Hương Thủy town will also organize low-altitude fireworks at the Thanh Toàn Tile Bridge in the artistic program to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Wood Tiger from 0:00 to 0:10 on February 10, 2024 (funded through socialization by the People's Committee of Hương Thủy town).

Leading up to, during, and after the Lunar New Year, numerous celebratory activities will take place in the province, commemorating the Party's victory and welcoming the Year of the Wood Tiger.

On February 9, 2024, from 19:30 to 21:30 (the 30th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Water Buffalo), a cultural program to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Wood Tiger will be held at the space in front of the gate of the High School for the Gifted in National Sciences, on Lê Lợi Street, organized by the People's Committee of Huế City. At Ngọ Môn Square - Flagpole, there will be a cultural program to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Wood Tiger, organized by the Center for Conservation of Hue Imperial City Heritage, from 21:30 on February 9 to 00:15 on February 10, 2024. Additionally, there will be Spring welcoming activities on pedestrian streets and in parks from the Ho Chi Minh Museum to 3/2 Park, led by the People's Committee of Huế City, in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports, and relevant units.

Many cultural activities and folk games will be organized to serve people and tourists during the Lunar New Year.

Regarding cultural activities, traditional games, and sports, people, and tourists can participate in the "Thượng Tiêu" ceremony (raising the Neu pole) on February 2, 2024 (23rd day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Water Buffalo) at Đại Nội Huế. The Imperial New Year Festival will take place from February 3 to 4, 2024 (24th to 25th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Water Buffalo) at Đại Nội Huế. Hue Monuments Conservation Center will open its doors for free visits to the heritage site from February 10 to the end of February 12, 2024 (1st to 3rd day of the Lunar New Year); and organize various Spring activities at managed heritage sites.

The Huế Tet program organized by the Huế City Party Committee's Propaganda Department will also take place from February 1 to February 5, 2024 (from the 22nd to the 26th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Water Buffalo).

In Huế City, there will be a Spring Flower Festival. The People's Committee of Huế City will decorate flowers from the Ho Chi Minh Museum to Tràng Tiền Bridge and conduct activities on pedestrian streets such as Võ Thị Sáu, Phạm Ngũ Lão, Chu Văn An, the park - pedestrian street on both sides of the Hương River, Ngọ Môn Square, and the night street of Huế Imperial City.

Various other activities, such as a poetry night for the Lantern Festival, Hoàng Mai festival, artistic performances at the provincial Cultural and Cinematography Center, the Huyền Trân Temple Festival, the traditional wrestling festival in Thủ Lễ village, and the traditional wrestling festival in Sình village, will also be organized to serve the local people and tourists during the Tet holiday.
