Sa Huynh residents on Thua Thien Hue land have had a long-term settled agricultural life, the development of metallurgy has promoted the development of the entire economy and led to profound changes in social life.
Along with the cultivation of rice, the inhabitants at that time also planted fruit trees, root crops, and fiber trees ..., they knew how to exploit profits from the sea, from forests, and from the ground by catching seafood, hunting animals, exploiting aromatherapy and mineral sources... Besides, they have developed crafts such as ironwork, pottery, jewelry, knitting, yarn carts, weaving. Jewelry, pottery of this era have achieved a high level of aesthetics. In addition, they knew how to exchange, and trade with the residents of the Metal Age in the area, especially with ancient Vietnamese residents - the owners of Dong Son culture. The presence of Dong Son bronze drum in Khe Tran (Phong My, Phong Dien) confirmed this cultural exchange relationship.
Thanks to the development of agriculture and handicraft, the spiritual life of local residents was also richer and more diverse, they knew how to change their appearances as well as domestic appliances in daily life.
With the above development factors, it is likely that the inhabitants of Sa Huynh culture have entered the stage of society with class and early state (pre-state), which prefaced the birth of the ancient Champa kingdom in the later period.
