On the afternoon of July 14, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien – Hue province, Hoang Hai Minh, along with relevant units, conducted an inspection and survey of the operational route of an electric shuttle bus serving tourist transfers to visit Hue Imperial City.
The survey took place in the areas surrounding Nguyen Hoang Bus Station in Hue city, as well as the vicinity of the Hiển Nhơn Gate. Based on the survey results, the involved units proposed a plan to use electric buses to transport tourists from Hiển Nhơn Gate to Nguyen Hoang Bus Station, with a route passing through Cửa Hiển Nhơn - Đinh Công Tráng - Đinh Tiên Hoàng - Trần Hưng Đạo - Nguyen Hoang Bus Station. Additionally, they suggested exploring the possibility of establishing a parking area for electric buses near the right side of Hiển Nhơn Gate.
Nguyen Huy Canh, the Director of Hoang Thanh Trading Investment Corporation, also participated in the survey and mentioned that the province is currently inspecting and surveying the potential operation of the electric shuttle bus service. If implemented, it is expected to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce incidents of harassment towards tourists when they leave Hue Imperial City. Moreover, it will enhance the comfort of tourists during their visits, boost the local economy by increasing the budget revenue, and create additional job opportunities for the labor force. Currently, there are 44 electric buses available, complying with regulations, and not all of them are operating at full capacity.
Vice Chairman Hoang Hai Minh expressed concern that the increasing number of vehicles in the city is putting significant pressure on urban infrastructure, particularly in the inner city of Hue. During peak hours, the large influx of tourists leads to congestion in the Ngăn Gate area, posing risks to traffic safety.

According to him, the introduction of the electric shuttle bus service for tourist transfers to visit Hue Imperial City will contribute to better serving and ensuring the safety of tourists. It will also reduce traffic congestion at Ngăn Gate, generate job opportunities for the local labor force, and mitigate the issue of harassment towards tourists. He called on all relevant units to advise and propose the most optimal and effective plans for the shuttle bus route, designated stops, and traffic safety measures to ensure the successful implementation of the electric shuttle bus service to serve tourist transfers to visit Hue Imperial City.
