Hue city awarded ASEAN Clean Tourist City

The Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung presented ASEAN Clean Tourist City award 2024 to localities and units
As a part of ASEAN Tourism Forum, ASEAN Clean Tourist City awards ceremony was held in Vientian city (Lao People's Democratic Republic) on January 26, 2024. Three representatives from Vietnam received the award were Hue (Thua Thien Hue province), Vung Tau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) and Quy Nhon city (Binh Dinh province).

Organized from January 22 to January 27, 2024, the ASEAN Tourism Forum is an important event hosted by ASEAN member countries to introduce tourism to visitors across the region and the world.

In addition to ASEAN Clean Tourist City, the other two prizes were given to Hue City. Accordingly, An Nhien Garden received ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award 2024 for its culture - art - vegetarian cuisine experiencing service while Silkpath Grand Hue won ASEAN MICE Venue Award 2024 for the second year.

This valuable prize contributes to honoring and developing a high-quality tourism brand. It is an occasion to introduce and promote Vietnam tourism and national destinations.

Particularly, Hue City as well as Thua Thien Hue have a chance to introduce its position while making efforts to become a centrally managed city. The common tourism brand is Hue - an ancient capital, a new experience. The three identity brands are Hue - the city of festival, Hue - the capital of gastronomy, and Hue - the capital of Aodai.
