They produce high-quality products, including camphor oil, lemongrass oil, ginger oil, and various essential oils from native plants. This effort aims to position these products as the specialties of the Imperial City region, create employment opportunities, increase income for local residents, preserve natural mangrove forests, maintain ecological balance, and promote experiential tourism.

Hoa Nén Tea Tree Oil - From Traditional Handcrafted Craft to the First Vegan Essential Oil Brand in Huế

Tea tree oil is a product extracted from the leaves and stems of the tea tree, a species that naturally grows in the Thừa Thiên Huế province. In the Phong Điền area, tea tree groves cover a large area, and these particular trees produce tea tree oil with a very high cineole content (Cineole is the main component in tea tree oil, known for its antibacterial and therapeutic properties). Tea tree oil is considered to have antibiotic-like effects, with high antibacterial activity that can help alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and prevent weather-related illnesses such as coughs, colds, and more. It is safe and suitable for pregnant women and infants.

Drawing on decades of experience in distilling tea tree oil using traditional handcrafted methods and sourcing natural tea trees in the Phong Điền district of Thừa Thiên Huế, Hoa Nén initially specialized in wholesale tea tree oil to distributors and companies.

Given the diverse array of tea tree oil products on the market, varying in appearance, style, and quality, coupled with a lack of consumer information about the origin and authenticity of tea tree oil, Hoa Nén decided to create the Hoa Nén brand of Huế tea tree oil in 2015. The production facility is located in Đông Lâm Village, Phong An Commune, Phong Điền District, with a trading office at 123 Lê Ngô Cát Street, Huế.

The Hoa Nén Tea Tree Oil production facility covers an area of 1,000 square meters and follows an integrated process that combines traditional and modern distillation methods. The facility is equipped with three stainless steel essential oil distillation tanks with an average capacity of 500 kg per tank. This allows for the production of 2-3 batches per tank per day, resulting in 12-18 liters of pure tea tree oil daily.
